What's New in Version 6.5.2
Minor bug fixes
This with it's profile makes it easy to connect to BT Wifi when you are out and about. In fact, it can be pretty hard to fathom the connection without it if you are trying to connect through a browser (Tip: you can't signup for a BT Wifi account as being a BT broadband customer you already automatically have one!)
It also seems to auto connect when my ordinary connection goes down.
The hotspot finder for individual hubs is deliberately vague to avoid a queue sitting on your doorstep using your wifi. It IS clear on the PC app, however.
EDIT to clarify:
Install a "Profile" in this app's "Settings" and it makes connecting to the "FON" - a free, legal hotspot which every BT Hub broadcasts (unless disabled) for the use of all BT broadband customers without impacting the owner - very easy. So long as you are within about 12 metres of the hub.
Not able to connect
Have been a bt broadband user for years. Had to change password and now cannot connect bt wifi and keep being directed to bt. com to agree to wifi use and then get an error message. No problem using app before changing password so something has gone wrong with this app.
Yep, like most of the other reviews on here, I found the app unusable. Credentials not recognised despite definitely being correct.
More useless service form BT
Perhaps they should check things work before sending out time wasting emails encouraging people to sign up!
