Introducing Bubbla - a new(ish), but different, location based social app designed to help students, and other social beings take internet connectivity, to real life connectivity.
CREATE
With Bubbla you can create spontaneous group chats, or what we call bubbles. When creating your group chat/bubble, you can add your nearby friends based on a radius you define, or any of your friends for that matter.
Part of creating your bubble(s) is choosing how long the bubble lasts from the last message sent; the “burst timer”. You can choose 12, 24 or 48 hours.
You can also tag your location, this helps with the Nearby Bubbles feature (read below), and for a future feature which is so cool we have banned ourselves from saying it just yet.
PRIVACY
If you don’t want people joining or seeing your bubble, we’ve got you covered. You have three privacy options when creating your bubble: Public, anyone can see and join your bubble; Private, anyone can see your bubble, but they have to request to join; and Invisible, which means others cannot see or join your bubble.
Which leads us on to NEARBY BUBBLES
Nearby Bubbles is a feature that allows you to see bubbles that are nearby, based on distance or the number of friends in the bubbles. You can join if the bubble is public, like we have discussed above; or you can request to join if the bubble is private. Invisible bubble? Only members of the invisible bubbles see the bubble.
CHAT
Chat with your bubble friends, send photos, share your individual location… and hopefully meet up, this is what we want Bubbla to be used for. You don’t have to meet up though, just remain keyboard warriors.
EDIT BUBBLES
Edit Bubble is where you can manage your bubble. If you're in an important meeting, silence them. Bored of them? Leave them. Change the burst timer, privacy, location, name and display image. Kick people out. Invite more people.

Bubbla respects your battery life, however, be aware, continued use of GPS in the background may shorten your battery life. Bubbla may use your location whilst running in the background but it's all for a good cause... How else will you find your friends and new people nearby!?
