Customer Reviews

Latest Update an Improvement but still missing critical features

Update 18 Feb 2017: Impressed by the company. Reported a serious bug in the latest release and 2 days later an update released to fix the issue. They seem responsive and committed to the product so I am confident it will progress. Each release seems a step in the right'ish direction (not every feature will be wanted/needed by everybody). I would encourage the developers to urgently focus on:
a) Custom Repeat Intervals
b) Today Screen Widget
c) Use "built-in Calendar" (rather than going direct to iCloud (meaning double syncing ...) i.e. as per Fantastical (which I also used to use but an not impressed with).

(Increased to 4 stars as it is best Calendar app I've found, but still needs some important features)

Update 27 5 Jan 2017: Location search in contants now implemented is a great improvement but still urgently needs to have the other missing functionality added e.g. Custom Repeat intervals, e.g. Today Widget, e.g. direct access to iOS calendar (as competitor apps do) rather than duplicating built-in Calendar and requiring built-in calendar to sync so they can detect the chage and then do their sync, doubling sotrage and processing pverheads.

Complete update to previous review: Had to stop using it as it is going downhill. It is basically good but is not yet "mature" (lacks some rather important features). Disappointing the the developers seem to be implementing daft things that are making the product worse rather than getting on with those aspects that are really lacking (e.g. Today Screen Widget, etc.).

Good example is the new date/time selector which is a "real pain" and far worse that the previous date/time selection. It was not broken but development effort spent of something not needed that was worse and whilst there are still significant areas needing attention.

e.g. Links directly with your iCloud accounts so you have to keep the built-in Apple Calendar & Reminders syncing so that BusyCal can get sync'ing done promptly. Other competitor (e.g. those who consider themselves Fantastic) apps seem to just link directly to the built-in Calendar syncing function so this "bodge" is unnecessary (and thus introduces processing overhead (=performance/battery impact) and storage overhead).
