Definitely Buggy - expensive and a waste of money

I bought the app in the hope that I could use it to plan a relatively simple model railway layout. I had previously tried the IOS version of Microsoft PowerPoint which was okay but somewhat limited. The user interface of CAD touch suggested it would be a more sophisticated tool. The tutorials are very limited, but after 3 days I managed to work out how to do the basics. I have tried to reproduce what I had created in PowerPoint, but the very limited objects library has made this impossible. I have tried creating my own objects, but this is where the bugs become evident. Trying to copy, move, rotate objects is completely unpredictable and extremely frustrating. I can't imagine using the app for anything more complicated. It should certainly not be considered as a professional design tool. Best avoid and save your money.

Buggy or not buggy? That is the question.

I hope it was just me misusing the app, but I have been playing around with the free version and I have encountered a number of issues that make working with the app very difficult. For example I constantly found the lines or out lines of shapes changing from solid to dashed, items would copy themselves even though I was using the move tool, not the move and copy tool. The same happened with the rotate tool. The touch sensitivity was seemingly so high that I constantly made the wrong gestures. The 'help menu' is just awful and no help at all. I was using a stylus and found the accuracy I could achieve was not good enough to satisfy my COD. I love the idea but there were so many little things that bugged me I will not buy the full app any time soon.

In my opinion, this is the best CAD app currently available for tablet/phone. Very easy to learn and use.
Excellent for architectural drawing/house plans etc.
I use it regularly on a semi professional basis for building plans, services layouts and the occasional small engineering project.
Yes it's got its shortcomings that make it not so good for engineering type use, and it can be a little 'buggy' now and then (just close the app and restart from where you left off) but I'm still giving it 5 stars for being the best out there so far!
