On the whole I find this is a good app and I use it a lot when I need to scale up or down a recipe. My only issue is that the calculations are not accurate, for example I scaled up a recipe from an 8" round to a 12" square which meant I needed to increase my ingredients by 2.9. When I looked at the 'new recipe' the quantity of butter in the old recipe was 225g which when multiplied by 2.9 is 652.5 but on Cakeometer it gave the quantity as 645g which is 7.5g short. So it's good for working out how much to increase your recipe by, but I will always have to check the calculations to be on the safe side.
Very good once you understand it. Red to put in your current recipe. Each ingredient and then save this. Then go to tin sizes and enter the cake tin size for the recipe and then the new either smaller or larger cake tin sizes and hey presto! Your new recipe is calculated for you next to the original recipe. So you can downscale or upscale any cake recipe. Even works out cooking times too! This app is a must for any bakers out there.
Great little app but could go one step better
Fab wee app I love it but instead of a print option maybe you could give an email option. Not everyone has AirPrint printers for iPhones and iPads so this function limits the ability to print the new recipe. If you had an email option it would allow people to email their recipe to a computer that had a printer hooked up or attached via wifi.
Otherwise a fab wee app!
