Thank you for using MyFitnessPal! We’ve made a few updates and bug fixes to make MyFitnessPal faster and more reliable.
You can update the app automatically by going to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Automatic Downloads and turn on updates.
Cannot rate it highly enough...
If you want to lose weight, this is a great place to start.
It really helps to keep your diet in check and enables you to know exactly what you have eaten in relation to the goals you set. It makes you far more conscious about what you eat and as a result, dieters will find it to be an invaluable resource.
As an app, it works well and I've never had any issues with it. It's very easy to use and takes no time at all to keep track of the food you've eaten. There is a good chance that what you're eating has already exists in the vast list of foods people have added meaning you only have to search and select, but if it's not in the list, it's fast and simple to add a new food.
Best weight loss tool
This is the best tool that I have found for weight loss. There is a huge database of foods and exercise making it easy to log your daily calories in and out. If you are honest with the input you quickly see where the extra calories are coming from. Stick to the recommended number of calories and your weight will drop quickly. I found it was more quick than predicted even although I was slightly over the recommended calories.
The only improvement I would like to see is to make the weekly summary of calories consumed against target more easily accessible. It is currently hidden away in the "nutrition" section.
This is a great app that does everything you could want it to if you want to lose weight. It's brilliant to track what you're eating so simply (you can even just scan the barcode on food items and it gives you exactly what you need).
It links in with my cycling app so adds in all the exercise I do. It also links to the iPhone health app so counts all the walking I do.
I've only been using it for a couple of weeks and am losing a steady 3lbs a week.
