Puts you back in control
I absolutely love this app. I am not overweight but trying to reduce body fat and gain more definition and this app really puts you total control of your food. This is what my fitness plan has been missing, as I now realise where I my diet was going wrong.
Also, I love the absolutely huge database of foods. It makes logging your food a breeze. I have been in some pretty random places and had to eat whatever was available and when I scan the barcode it still shows up on here (eg packet sandwich from my local hospital!). Fantastic. It even includes the Musclefood range and the two together are a great combo!
I have dropped over half a stone in fat since starting using this app 46 days ago and feel great about it. Logging my food is now part of my daily routine.
Just wish I had found this sooner.
Great tool to make health related lifestyle changes
I started using this app in August 2014 and it instantly opened my eyes to what I was eating and its impact on my weight. I set some personal goals of weight loss and how quickly I wanted to achieve this. In 6 months I was able to lose 2st 8lb (36lb / 16kg) by following the calorie and nutrition guidelines set by the app. The easy way to scan the barcodes for the food you eat as well as record exercise ensures you make the updates. I also use a Fitbit to record my activity levels and this app takes data from a number of fitness trackers including this to give me a single place to monitor my food and activity levels.
Awesome - and FREE!!
I've been using this App for about 2 months now and have been recommending it to friends who want to lose weight. It's a fantastic way of keeping track of your calories. I've lost 12lbs (without much suffering), I haven't deprived myself of any foods, just weighed and tracked every morsel that's passed my lips. I dread to think of how many calories I used to overeat before this.
It also encourages you to be sensible. The lowest daily calorie intake for myself is 1200cals, and if you under eat - it tells you off!
It syncs to my FitBit brilliantly, so calculates any extra calories I can eat from exercises done during the day.
I really can't recommend this App highly enough.
