Track the foods you shove in your piehole with CARROT, the talking calorie counter.
** Featured by Apple, Good Morning America, CNN, the Wall Street Journal, Wired, & more! **
After watching humans indiscriminately stuff their chubby faces for far too long, CARROT has scienced up a calorie counter that will reward you for healthy eating - and punish you for overindulging.
Log At Lightning Speed
Simply tap CARROT’s ocular sensor, then start typing to search her enormous food database. Or you can open her barcode scanner to scan the UPC of the item you just wolfed down.
See A Food's True Cost
Did you know you need to go for a 90 minute walk just to burn off the calories contained in a single slice of pizza? CARROT will convert a food's calories into terms you can actually understand, like how many miles you'll need to run to work off a donut.
Feel The Burn
Keep your avatar from blimping up by logging your workouts. CARROT imported a wide variety of activities into her database, including Running, LARPing, and Laser Tag.
Get Yelled At For Opening The Fridge
Stick an iBeacon sensor inside your fridge, and CARROT will remind you to log your foods whenever you get near. But be careful - if you’re already over your calorie goal, CARROT will blare an alarm.
Quake In Fear Of Punishment
Overeat, and CARROT will serve up brutal punishments like bribe requests, hideous fullscreen ads, and tweets that will shame you in front of all your social media pals.

Ratings and Reviews
I like the app. I use the other carrot apps and was hoping something like this would come along. The only drawback is that the food database is a little poor. It may be because I live in the UK. I've found that most if the food I put in only has data for food places that don't really exist in the UK. I also find that most homemade foods are not available either. That said the app is good and I've been using HealthKit to sync my food data from my fitness pal. I would go up to 5 stars once the database for food is as good as my fitness pal and if it started maybe tracking steps like other fitness apps. Maybe another carrot app that tracks exercise like walking or even running. Imagine carrot "motivating" you to run.
Very good but food data is hopeless
Very good and amusing application. Does help to change your behaviour but the nutritionix api is useless, would be better if it could give a general indication of calories for a food and then suggest all of the brands you've never heard of.
Would be good to have an editable internal database of foods where you can enter more than just the calories as the nutritionix information has quite a bit of info, but adding your own you can only track the calories. You also don't seem to be able to change the calories of a food you've entered later if you find out you've gone a bit wrong.
All good but food database is poor.
The personality of this app is great. It makes you laugh and makes you think a little extra about what you actually put into your body. The option to add exercise activity is also a really good feature.
My complaint about this app is about the food database. For instance, the smallest amount of peanut butter that you can select is 2 tbsp, however I only use 1 tbsp. It can't get really accurate like that. Plus a lot of big brand names I have used such as a variety of Arnott's biscuits weren't available for selection, so I had to research the other options and go with the one I thought was closest to the biscuits I ate.
