Love this app
This app is soooo cool access to scores, players, radio, video, pictures, time lapse, aerial views and more. Really enjoyed using this over the last 2 weeks listening to Wimbledon radio from 9 every morning! only thing I'd like to see added on for next year is an interactive history section i.e old footage and stats for the championships (yes I know John Barrett has a book out for these and they are really good) which brings me onto 1 gripe. Why aren't there any decent stats books for worldwide tennis?????! Football has a yearbook by sky sports.... At least if it was done as a stats app it can be updated.
Great work Wimbledon look forward to next year!
Ps Well done Andy! Yeah
Why do I have to endure watching - and listening - to the 'intro' display EVERY time I launch the app? Opening the app several times a day to check results and having to see it over and over is annoying. Once is fine then I want to switch it OFF. It's equally irritating to end up by default viewing the 'Grounds' screen when one actually wants, for example, to simply go to the live scores. Please can we have an option to 'skip' the intro?
Why does the side menu bar close after EVERY selection? I like many users who have commented find its annoying. Please can we have an option to have it displayed permanently?
Not as good as the iPhone version
This app looks good but unfortunately this seems to be at the expense of content. I've been disappointed to find that it has less information than the iPhone version. An interactive ground map is all very well, but I would have thought most users are more likely to be looking for latest news, order of play, player info etc, all of which are provided in more detail on the iPhone.
It plays music when you open the app up, even when your iPad is on silent, which is very annoying.
