彈撥樂器即是以手指彈撥,或以特製的樂器配件擊打弦線而發聲的樂器。
包括有琵琶、古箏、阮、柳琴、三弦及古琴等。
拉弦樂器即是靠琴弓和琴弦互相磨擦而及發聲的樂器。
包括有二胡、高胡、板胡、中胡及革胡等。
打擊樂器即是以手或硬物擊打樂器表面而發聲的樂器。
包括有大鼓、板鼓、鈸、鑼、揚琴及編鐘等。
