You can do better!
The interface is poor - it is sluggish, and doesn’t look, feel or work like an iOS app. It looks like it’s the same underlying app that powers the Church of England’s apps.
One amusing feature is the way it simply cuts off headlines halfway through - sometimes completely reversing the meaning of the headline.
You can’t swipe from the left to go back. Might sound petty but when you are reading a magazine it makes a huge difference.
Swiping through the articles one by one gives me adverts for things like - oh, a Church Times subscription, which I already have because I’m reading the newspaper.
Come on guys - how hard can it be??
Developer Response ,
We are sorry that you aren't enjoying the app. If you could follow up with us at firstname.lastname@example.org we can see if we can help. There are a couple of concerns that might indicate an issue with the version you have. Swiping left to go to the last page or previous article should work. The headline issue on featured articles is something we need to address which occurs when the font size is set to larger than the base one. The app was built entirely as a standalone magazine app and isn't the same code base as the CHP apps (though the same people built it). I hope this is useful.
Please sort this out
Just paid for a months subs and stuck with an edition of 2015. Please sort this out asap.

Did we manage to get this sorted out?
Could be good ....?
I have had a subscription to the Church Times for many years, and thought the app a great idea. If it worked, it probably would be. I have loaded and removed dozens of times, and can only get the sample issue, despite having signed in, having good wifi etc. I have even been in touch with the developer about 4 or 5 times. They answered once, to no avail, and have ignored all the rest. And so it seems only to be a vaguely attractive white square sitting on my screen - perhaps it's conceptual art, and I'm just missing the point.

I am very sorry that you have had this issue, are you still having a problem?
