Symptoms not causes

Brent council are encouraging people to flytip by releasing this app. All you have to do is dump your rubbish on the street. Take a picture of it with the app and the Council will send private contractors Veolia to come and collect it. I report the same flytip almost every day and the council do nothing to try and prosecute the perpetrators. All the do is send a personalised collection every day. How much does this cost the taxpayer? Wouldn't it be a smarter use of money to invest in enforcement action against repeat offenders rather than lining the pockets of an overseas multinational and encourage people to dump rubbish on our streets? Live where you live? Hmm... Brent Council are a bunch of inept amateurs.

This App Actually Works

I used this App to report the residents on my street that was blocking the road beside their houses with wooden pallets and wheelie bins in order to save parking spaces.

Within two weeks the residents were asked to remove all obstacles from the road and was reminded that it was illegal to assume that the road was part of their land.

The process takes up to two weeks because our council waits residents to do the clearing themselves first and if they don’t the council we removes it at cost to the culprits.

I’m pleased our street is available for all to park up.

Waste of council money

Any report, accompanied by succinct pix just gets an automated reply saying nothing will be addressed but thanks for trying.
