***iOS 7 GPS Tracking Update***
Many applications are experiencing GPS issues with iOS7. Within Settings, there is a new feature called, "Background App Refresh". This must be enabled for an app to continue to run while in the background. To ensure your GPS works properly go to Settings -> General -> Background App Refresh, and move the switch next to the Couch to 5k app to the on position.

"Active.com’s Couch-to-5K is one of my favorite couch-to-5K apps. With its customizable features, interactivity, and well-rounded interface, I may actually stay off the couch this time."
—148Apps, October 2011
"I knew as soon as I decided to start the Couch-to-5K program that I would need something to keep me accountable—not just to showing up for my training, but to actually doing it properly. Of course there’s an app for that."
—CalorieLab, April 2012
"If you have been struggling to get your buns off the couch and somewhat in shape before the summer hits, training for a 5K is not a bad way to start. If you are looking for a program to help get you there, then the “Couch-to-5K” running plan by CoolRunning is probably your best bet if you haven’t done an ounce of athletic activity for a number of years."

A great to start running
A great app to get a non runner running. I've made it to week 6 and already achieved more than I believed I would, I even find myself looking forward to my next session. Only negatives are that I wish it gave more encouragement, especially in the first few weeks & some sort of warning that it's nearly time to start running, also the half way promt gave up in week 5 so I ended up going further than I should have & had a much longer walk home. But overall I would recommend this app.
This has worked really well for me so far, on week 6 and very impressed. A couple of times the voice prompts have either dissapeared or been randomly very quiet behind my music but on the whole it's worked really well and kept me motivated for longer than I think I would have been without it!!
Good idea but badly executed
The sound volume of the trainer on this app is barely audible - even when I have my music on a low volume, I can barely make the voice out (and this is with the drill sergeant prompt). Surely this must be a simple thing to fix - when you are running, the last thing you want to do is keep having to refer to your iphone. Focus on improving the audio aspect of this app would be my strong advice to the manufacturers - currently it is pretty useless.
