Know which companies are cruelty-free!

Published by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics’ (CCIC) Leaping Bunny Program, this shopping guide lists over 200 U.S. and Canadian companies that do not test ingredients, formulations, or finished products on animals. The Leaping Bunny Program certifies that no new animal testing is used, so you can be confident about your cruelty-free choices.

Customer Reviews

Handy but can be improved too

This app is great. It has a very comprehensive list, and if you do your research you can see what is available in your area, but I think a country filter would be handy. Like many reviews say this app is mostly aimed at US and Canadian users; I recognised quite a few UK companies on here, but I also noticed that recent additions such as Marks and Spencer's and Morrissons have not been added to their list (to me this is strange given the history of CCIC, and their roots with the BUAV).

Vegan and Vegetarian filters would also be useful, as would some indication of a legend. I presume the pink box next to some company websites me as they are owned by a testing parent company? I'm not sure.

The barcode scan also takes a long time even inside with a stable wifi connection, and the buzzing as it does so is extremely irritating to me, but the settings are fairly limited.

Also on my version the web links are not working; I think this is a good app, but it obviously hasn't been updated and needs a bit of an overhaul.

Really disappointing

Really wanted to like this. Scanner does not work at all and makes phone crash..and not a lot of UK companies on the list. Two stars because of a good cause!!

UK friendly.

The app is handy however, it needs to be updated for UK users as the majority of the companies on the lists are unavailable in the UK.
