Customer Reviews

Worth a punt but only just!

As a keen cyclist I think cycling weekly is still a relatively good read, but the iPad (and presumably the other tablet versions) doesn't seem to be as easy not intuitive as expected.

Also, cycling Weekly is thankfully quite good on advice, when some of the cycling press seeks to emulate the best of the motor industry press, for example, Evo magazine publishes stories of dream cars being fully tested and compared, but I don't want to read about a £5k s-works being ridden by a journalist on a difficult to cycle Mountainous location.

Downloaded iTunes app and subscribed, that was the easy part.
First editions downloaded perfectly then a glitch , I was asked to subscribe again. Customer Service responded to my query and the problem was rectified. Two issues later and once again I am asked to subscribe again. This time Customer Service have not been able to solve the problem stating there is a technical problem with subscriptions via the app. Be aware as so far I've not been able to download two issues and there has been no update from Customer Service as to when the problem will be resolved.

Just about OK

The best I can say about this app is that it allows you to read the magazine. The way in which this is achieved, however involves a lot of work (and frustration) on the part of the user.

As mentioned in other reviews, the text is small, and zooming in often lands the reader on the previous or next page. Articles and individual photographs are often split across two pages and therefore become difficult to read or view.

The issue seems to be that for the digital version a facsimile of the the hard copy version has been used, rather than a version designed to be read on a mobile device.

More work needed, please (or as my school reports said: "Could do better!")
