Chewy232 ,

This is bad

The easiest (only??) way to get back to the home page is close and reopen this app. It is not intuitive and difficult to use. How does an app like this even get approved by Denon senior managers as ok to release? Maybe they couldn’t work it either and were convinced by the developers it was ok!!
Update - works much better on an iPad than the iPhone and does what it’s meant to do, but doesn’t do it well. Reminds me of graphics & screen layout from 1990’s. I suppose having bought Denon kit (which sounds very good) they know it’s this App or nothing, so no rush to improve it as nobody buys a decent sound system for the app.

Strawbis ,

Wow! Denon users are a bunch of whiners

I’m not finding anything wrong with the App on iOS 15.1 …despite what the majority of reviewers are saying about it. Works as advertised and allows for control of my X4700H without me having to get up, walk to the unit, slide the door open (blocking half my Bravia’s screen in the process) and press menu buttons …what’s not to like? If you see the app as an extension to the Web Interface and not as a stand-alone settings apps, it does all that can be expected of it. As for the miserable, moaning Elitists among you - get a life …along with a more powerful router, and stop blaming your poor home network performance on the app.
Just to add after nearly a year of use; The app could do with Haptic feedback when selections are made, just to register the selection in the mind.

get up and do it ,

Please spare a few minutes to work on your apps

Denon please do your customers and yourselves a favour on hiring an app developer, someone who has completed primary school, for a day and sort out the mess that your apps are. Being an app based remote system, it is shameful that a 500 dollar receiver simply would not work beyond the basic speaker connection function. Try to change settings on the AVR remote, it does not work, playing music on the HEOS app, it does not work. How you keep trading and selling these receivers is a mystery to me, any other company would have gone out of business with these serious quality issues.
As the amount of negative reviews here does not prompt you to do something about it, please send me your bank account I will pay the cost of an app developer as it seems your overpriced systems do not leave you with enough cash. Oh and lastly, do not send me a link to a feedback website, I think I have been clear enough here.
