Ratings and Reviews
This app has so many problems that I don’t even know where to start. It’s so unreliable to use for checking new content, articles in the “This Week At Bungie” update feed, sometimes I can’t even check my messages and transferring gear is so bad, I often have to do it manually through the game, which means having to log in and out of all my characters and transfer things to and from the vault. This takes up so much time and sometimes it just doesn’t feel worth it! The app is so glitchy and unreliable I have switched to Ishtar Commander for easy transfers.
The only thing available in the app is clan chat and the clan I’m in doesn’t even use it, we use and app called Band, which is more comprehensive, interactive and organised. The Destiny 2 companion doesn’t even give you proper notifications as messages are being sent. I had no idea I had messaged for two days until I manually checked the app itself.
Alongside the short story lines, expensive DLC and microtransactions, I feel like Destiny isn’t as good as it used to be.
Why change the App
The Destiny 1 app was so much better. Now I’ve upgraded to D2 where’s the Destiny 1 app gone? I play both D1 & D2 with my friends and clan mates alike. Now, I have no access to D1 with this app. Why? I use the D2 app solely for transferring items from the vault and to my characters, this works well.
If anyone is struggling with communication on this app with other players encourage your clan group and friends to use another app called Band to chat with the clan instantly and arrange and plan upcoming events which works well. It’s far superior than the Destiny app at the moment.
If the Developers read this you can learn a lot from the Band app and incorporate some of the event planning and chat to this app. Also please, please, please sort out or create a separate app for D1. I really do miss this app a lot.
No matter what level on Destiny 2 this will come in handy to be by your side as your can quickly make changes to your character without having to watch your ship complete the same animation over and over to reach the vault. You can also get easy access to clans, quickly recruit players and best of all find fireteams super quick which is useful if you have either no friends or all your friends play to much fortnite! x.x
