Great idea, flawed implementation

I recently bought a DKN Roadrunner treadmill, and found this app. First of all, it’s a great idea that breaks the monotony of treadmill running (and the way it varies the incline automatically to simulate hills is a good training aid). So top marks for the concept. However, no updates in over 2 years? On the 2 iPads I’ve used in on, the display at the top of the screen has truncated both time and distance (to the nearest minute and tenth of a kilometre) ... despite the App Store screenshots not showing this - so perhaps an unfixed bug with newer iOS versions? The social sharing options don’t seem to work properly either. Some more gripes... you can only plan a route when the Bluetooth connection to the treadmill is live (so no browsing the map and fine tuning a route before going to the machine). Also, where are the online options? Imagine how awesome it would be if you could upload your routes to the internet, and find and use other peoples routes? Each route could have a leaderboard of the quickest times, to add further to interest and competition. Not complaining as such, because it’s a free app ... almost a bonus feature. But DKN... this app could do with some love and attention! I would love to help spec some improvements.

brilliant idea

I love this. Went for a little run in London then Venice this morning! It is photo stills like street map rather than a scrolling video as some people seem to have expected, but the screen changes every few seconds and i'm really happy with it. Adds a bit of interest rather than staring at my basement wall when i'm running anyway. Also adds a bit of excitement when it looks like i'm running in the road with traffic coming towards me, haha! I wouldn't buy a particular treadmill just for this app, but if you have a DKN treadmill then I would definitely recommend having a go of this - also it's free!

Good but iLog lets it down

Love using the 'plan your own route' feature, google maps, street view, satellite view and the way it takes you through it all. It gives you "your workout" screen at the end of your session and I strongly suggest you screenshot this page for a detailed record because the iLog distance and average speed is always wrong and double what you actually did! Whether using imperial or metric!
