At last I can search for files again. When I first started with Documents 5, I could search for files no problem but as my files increased in number the search facility stopped working. 'Scratching my head' brought no answers and hence Documents limped along but now in Documents 7, I see the search facility is functioning again. HOORAY! I do wish Readdle would fix the issue with another app called Documents as it causes confusion as to which of the two Documents apps to select and I like both of them. Just a rider for the developers: I have never installed a beta version of Documents, EVER. I have contacted you on more than one occasion regarding the search facility but failed to get a response that worked but let's not get into recriminations. You are an honest developer and Documents 7 will now search again. Thank you for the update and all the other improvements.

The best available but has some issues to fix

it is difficult to rate this app without mixed feelings. It’s the best file manager available and it links seamlessly with other Readdle apps. But with each new version more problems seem to appear. Readdle also started charging subscriptions for certain features over recent years, I absolutely disagree with this practice. I use Documents for everything; every day I create/manage and print lots of PDF documents and that’s where the problem lies... Some time ago Documents stopped detecting or printing via apple AirPrint, instead using its own Printer Pro app, which unfortunately has not been updated for some time and can’t even print double sided. I’ve mentioned this problem to Readdle support on a few occasions but nothing at all has been done despite them adding extra features they don’t to fix this massive bug. Now the latest update, even more bugs. It no longer shows tiles/miniature images of the files in file manager. This app has become very buggy.

EDIT: As of todays update v8.1.4 the thumbnail display bug seems to fixed but the AirPrint issue is still there and needs fixing.

One of the most useful Apps in the store.

I use this App everyday, it is one of those Apps that I found the more I used and explored become more and more useful.

I initially purchased this App to store some of my office documents so I could review and edits files while out off the office. After further use I found I could also zip/unzip files which proved to be very useful as well as storing and playing audio files. The ability to unzip files is a great feature because I was being sent most of my office files archived for obvious reasons.

As well as having access to the files you import into the App you also get access to your podcasts and photos thereby not requiring you to leave the App.

I have a Wishlist I hope the developers will think about.

1. I am starting to get very annoyed with the Audio player. It needs the ability to skip forward and backwards such as 30 seconds and for this to be configurable. I listen to loads of dictation and audio shows and the ability to jump around would be great.

2. Not sure if it can be done but adding my own short cuts on the left menu will be a good feature.

3. When I save a PDF or other doc to Documents it automatically opens the file. Can this be turned off? Other wise could there be an option.

4. Integration with apps like 1Password would help with saving document passwords era.
