What's New in Version 2.5
- Support for the Drift Ghost-S
- Support for iOS 7
FINALLY updated for the S, however, took many attempts to connect the WIFI. Found it won't join by just tapping the wifi name, have to tap info(i) then tap Join Network. Even then flaky but finally connected & seems stable, although it occasionally loses it but reconnects itself. Gallery doesn't work at all, just says Cannot Connect To Camera so no uploading to the phone or playback. The live preview is the best feature for adjusting zoom & lens angle which is really what I want it for. Given it 4 stars because Gallery not working & WIFI issues. No doubt these will get fixed (pretty please).
The Ghost S compatibility update finally arrived and, after a long wait, I don't think it unreasonable to expect the app to work. What a disappointment! Wifi connection is difficult to establish and, once done, is very unstable; the video preview pixellates and jumps; and the gallery doesn't work at all. It's so bad that I haven't tried any other modes. This isn't good enough for a budget product, let alone a premium one, and I could understand why people would switch to GoPro - I'm beginning to wish I'd bought one. Barely worth one star.
I've used this app for a while now, I have a Drift Ghost which I love and use mostly on my motorbike. However this app, despite having a easy to use interface and feed, crashes nearly everything I use it, roughly about 4 times each time I load the app. My phone is up to date and so is the app.
Attempting to download a 3 minute video straight to the phone from the camera is a nightmare, it crashed multiple times and then when clicked on different videos, it's open up repeatedly the same video that wasn't clicked on that wasn't wanted, then crash when the "back " button is pressed.
Each time it says "Saved to camera role" thinking it was successfully saved, I'll go to my camera role (considering I have plenty of memory available) and there'll be nothing saved. After restarting the camera and app about 3 times it'll eventually work.
I've been patient with it but now it's just time to buy a GoPro.
This app is very frustrating and only works after its crashed 4 times.
