Missing features. Get it fixed quick

Mashdup

I am unsure about this app. On one hand it's great for backing up your photos and videos. However, this is my one massive gripe, you can't save to camera roll for videos. Yes I can save photos back. BUT NOT VIDEOS. I film a lot on my iPhone and want to edit on my iPad. iCloud doesn't have the space I need. As an app developer I can't imagine why only allow save to camera roll for one format and not the other. Yes I already sorted out the permissions and it is on local network. I heard on a forum that they didn't realise this feature. If they want to hire me for some contract work, I would be happily to fix this. Complete oversight and bad acknowledgement. A good point though is that other features are done well.

Nice idea but....

Ok, so I have a massive photo collection which I'm ready to upload onto my DS212J nas. How great would it be to just access them from my phone. That's the idea right? Well let me start off by saying how ridiculously slow it was to upload my photos onto the Nas. The process was "converting" the photos in the application on the Nas. Without converting, you simply cannot access the photos with this app. So my 50,000 pictures and vids (yes, i like to capture every moment) will take almost a week to convert for this app to be functional. Certainly wont be doing my bit for the environment this week.
However, once the photos are on there, the app does its purpose. So to sum up, expect some serious CPU usage on your nas/ pc before the appreciating the joys of this app.

How can it geofence when it doesn’t ask for location services?

Jimbojones1000

This app claims and asks to geofence areas to instigate backup of photos, the button does nothing when you press it, which isn’t surprising when you look at what services it requests access too, it doesn’t ask to use location service and you can’t turn them on for it so how can it possibly geofence? Geofencing is so simple to implement in iOS, why put it in the app if you’ve no actual intention to use it? Basically makes the backup not work, as it’s not triggered by the geofencing, so this app which does handle Live Photo’s ok doesn’t work for backup because of the non functioning geofencing and the moments app from synology works great for backing up but doesn’t deal with Live Photo’s so is useless for iOS users. What a poor showing.
