Could be much much better
I don’t usually write reviews but I wanted to for this app because for such a massive company with so much money it is unbelievable that this is the app they chose to use for its customers. When you log in it hardly ever tells you your balance it just searches and searches for it, then almost every time I top up it freezes and I have to turn my phone off and then on again for it to work and even then it takes ages to do it. The two stars are because I no longer have to go to the shops to buy the electricity but most of the time it was quicker when I did. I did wonder if it is just me or my phone or internet connection but after speaking to other people with the same issue it seems that it is the app. Please please try to sort it theses issues. I am tempted to even switch suppliers and I’ve been with eon for years and years.

You can see your balance, you need to press B on the physical meter, or press the cog wheel icon on the display monitor. Thank you for your feedback Helena
Absolutely shocking app
You’d think for a company of this size they would be able to invest just a smidgen of their profits to prove a decent app, considering that this is the ‘new’ way to actually buy gas and electric! Every single time this app freezes for me and does not let me top up. A few weeks back my electric had ran low and cut off but it didn’t notify me so I didn’t top it up in time, I only realised when nothing electrical in my house would work. At this point I had a hungry baby who wanted a bottle and no electric to make one. The app was on complete shut down AS USUAL and so I had to wait until it finally let my partner move some of the funds off the gas onto the electric which still took around half hour. It’s absolutely disgusting how rubbish this app is. It works for my partner now and then but never ever works for myself. Please sort out the app!

Pointless flaky simply doesn’t work
Just crap - contacted eon several times and been fobbed off - and told a loada c**p doesn’t update absolutely pointless
And a pointless response... plse do credit your customers with some level of common sense ... yes made loadsa calls ... yes can use the luddite process of going online or having another call to advise of meter read and SURELY the whole point of a smart meter & app was that the process removed scrambling around taking meter reads ????? going online ??? Logging meter reads PHAH! Exhausted all routes hence exposing the flaw on here ! May not be a deal breaker when choosing e.on as a supplier but at least let’s all have realistic expectations that process doesn’t work based on anecdotal evidence and time wasted to sort
Plse don’t contact me to tell me the obvious ! Yes I’ve entered readings yes yes yes just sort yer flaky app ... really isn’t operator error on my part !

I'm really sorry that you feel this way and that the phone call to us wasn't helpful. have you had a look at the full online account and entered some meter reads? You can then produce a real time bill and go from there. The app does need the account to have billed first before it can work. Thanks
