Description

ECB Cricket Live allows fans to follow the game on their iPad like never before - with real-time data visualisation on top of the traditional scores service, and all the best news and video coverage from ecb.co.uk.

For all England internationals plus Test matches and ODIs/T20s around the world, the comprehensive data coverage gives users a 3D pitch display illustrating ball-by-ball info for each delivery, including batsman shot type, bowler delivery type, active fielder positions, line and length detail on the 3D pitch, plus heatmaps and wagon wheels.

And across every match of the county cricket season there is a 3D pitch display available, on top of the standard match info expected like full scorecards.

A Manhattan-style timeline for the games allows users to go back through the play to look at individual deliveries once again, and access further detail through the information panels in the bottom split of the screen.

These info panels feature a live scoreboard; detailed scorecards with links to launch heatmaps and wagon wheels; and relevant match news and Twitter feed from @ECB_Cricket.

Features:

• 3D pitch display with graphical and textual ball-by-ball information; with ability to swivel and zoom detail.
• Match info featuring cricket scoreboard, toss, umpires, team listings and Match Facts.
• Detailed match scorecards - with live scores for England, county games and all matches on the domestic calendar, plus all Tests and ODIs worldwide.

What is all the criticism about?

Scores again

This app is truly amazing... It has ball by ball comprehensive reviews of all the big games and has options for heat map, player info and you get to choose what you see on the game-map... Simple but brilliant... Except not simple, their are a lot of different modes and many reviews complain about this, however, if you spend a good fifteen minutes learning them you WILL get the hang of it. As for crashing it's probably your device not the app...

Looks good

No updates in over a year. It doesn't work for me; it's hung again and I am deleting it and reinstalling one more time. I wish they would sort this out properly! It's great when it works hence the couple a five star reviews. But you five star review of people I warn you enjoy it while it last because it will go wrong and you will have to delete and reinstall!

Ok to fix the not working issue, you have to delete the app... Reboot and only Then redownload/reinstall the app. Which the ECB could have told us that... Typical!!

Ah... Looks good now. Rebooted the iPad and the bug was removed it would seem.
So've upped to 4 stars now!

First impressions
How bizarre, ppl say this is great, but on my device it opens ok, but if I click on a g for more details I just hangs... Without fail. It locks in a green screen that looks like a schematic of a cricket ground?
Is it really just me!!
One star...
Perhaps I'm being stupid.

Apple Watch app doesn’t work properly

Steveo

The app itself works well on the iPhone and gives me updates on matches I follow promptly.

Unfortunately the Apple Watch app is useless, it updates it’s data (scores etc.) at launch but then never updates again until the app closes through me running several other apps to push it out of RAM. This makes it absolutely pointless since checking the score is always hugely out of date unless I mess around opening loads of apps to force it to quit.
