The Best Christmas app for secret Santa, Christmas lists and more! You put things on your wish list, then others can find it and see what you have put on it. They can mark it as purchased so other people can’t buy the same thing. But you can’t see if your present is purchased or not!

Elfster is a useful tool for groups and families
Elfster has been used by our family for several years to run a Secret Santa for adults. It takes a little getting used to , to access all the facilities. We do not use the advertised products we add our own. You have to go to the tiny writing to do this, as it is geared to buying products advertised.
You can organise people who find it too difficult by managing them yourself. E.g. I manage it for my elderly mother.
The benefit is that you can buy one good present for somebody from their list so it is something they want, but it still is a surprise if they put several things for you to choose from. It also reduces the cost of Christmas and your money is not wasted. Sometimes there are glitches but we have never had a problem with exchanging presents and it saves everyone a lot of time and trouble. Thank you Elfster!🎅🏼🤶👍
Great concept but needs some ux work
The interface is not intuitive, wife suggested we use this but creating a wish list is challenging. Not obvious you need to hit save (it’s below the end of the screen). When I finally found the “add to wish list”, I had entered a dozen things, mistakenly clicking “close” because the “save was not visible” so hadn’t entered anything. After navigating away from the add screen I can’t find the add to wish list. The obvious choice of edit just lets you edit the name of the wish list not the content.
I’ll see how the wife gets on because I may just be expecting a higher standard of intuitive UX.
