Problems on MacBook Pro
This game is realy good and especially for the ameture adventurer. It does have its problems as it makes the fan run continuously on my MacBook Pro. It has problems in responding to clicks from the mouse, which are not rapid, I have to sit and wait for the laptop to catch up. Nevver happens on any other game. I have the I7 processor with 4gb ram so it should be no problem. The searches for hidden object are not to good either, the graphics are not clear on them. Machine is set up to high detail as well. Part 2 of the game runs great seems that part 1 needs some re-work to bring it up to scratch.
Empress of the Deep - disappointing
I'm not a big player of these kind of games but I bought the Empress of the Deep App yesterday and got thoroughly engrossed in all the different challenges and games. Really enjoyed playing this but I got to the end of the game in a couple of hours so think it's a bit pricey. I would have expected a paid-for app to give a bit more than one evening's entertainment. Enjoyable game for sure but just not enough levels so def poor value for money!
I thought it was very good for the price. A good mix of games and quite a lot of levels and settings. A perfect game for older children I think. (The tobacco reference in the rating seems to reflect one or two of the hidden objects).
The artwork was very pretty and there was a lot of lovely scenes - only let down by a few bits of animation that didn't match the style or quality of the rest of the game, but thats a little quibble.
