Bonjour et voilà, the new and improved Eurostar app is here

It’s now easier than ever to book tickets for your high-speed train journey between the UK, France and Europe on your mobile. Download the free app now and enjoy glamorous city breaks to Paris, Brussels or Amsterdam, jam-packed day trips to Bruges and shopping expeditions across the Channel with links to over 100 destinations across Europe.

We’ve been busy making some exciting updates to your essential travel companion, the Eurostar app. There’s a beautiful and simple to use design, an easier ticket booking process and everything you need right where you need it – on your mobile.

And the app is available in English, French or Dutch.

All the features you know and love are still there, including our pièce de résistance…

We’d like to make paper tickets a thing of the past, which is why you can now download your ticket in the app as an eTicket. It helps our environment, and it’s easy and convenient. When you travel with Eurostar, you can quickly scan it at the eTicket gates without having to search through your bag – or realise you’ve left it at home on the coffee table. Oops.

To keep you (and the little ones) entertained on your journey, you can watch your favourite shows using our wi-fi. We’ve also teamed up with Amazon to bring you more of the best films and TV series to enjoy through the app. We can even take you on a virtual reality adventure with Eurostar Odyssey, our wonderful world beneath the waves.

As frequent travellers know, forgetting your Club Eurostar loyalty card when you’re on a trip is a bit of a pain. We’ve solved that problem with a new digital version that’s saved on your app. It makes your experience that little bit smoother and means you’ll have quick access to your exclusive discounts, and things like the lounge and fast track.

• Make bookings and find the best ticket prices for trips between London, Paris, Amsterdam, Bruges and Brussels plus all Eurostar stops in between. Or, go further into France for a holiday or city break with direct trains to Lyon, Avignon and Marseille.
• Add and view all your upcoming bookings in one place.

• Stay in touch by connecting to onboard wi-fi on our new trains.
• Sit back and relax with the best TV programmes, films and more.

• Check live arrivals and departures.

Appalling non functional app, Eurostar incompetence


Eurostar give you a set of completely nonsensical directions regarding having your ticket on your mobile. They continually say you can do this, fail on every occasion to tell you how, and then when you going through their joke of a website all it does is email you. At no point is there a ticket viewable on their app, and nowhere on their website or in app does it show you how you might find this. To make things worse, Eurostar, to round out their array of incompetence and deception, tell you you cans imply print tickets out at the station if you were unable to at home. No, you can’t. When you arrive at the station, this does not work and the stafff will only at this point, just before you have to leave, tell you they can’t print it out as it you ‘chose to print’. So Eurostar for some reason only know to themselves ensure you have one opportunity to choose whether to print tickets at home or at the station, then make it impossible for you to change this later, when you are in desperate need of doing so. It’s an imbecilic and pathetic policy. I only managed to travel by refusing to move from the line in the Eurostar office until they gave me the ticket I had paid a lot fo money for, and was promised I could simply get at the station. Useless, awful company.

When you add a booking, it is stored on the Your Bookings screen. What happens when you tap that button? Dreadful app and call centre cannot assist


The Eurostar app was never fit for purpose. Now, after what can only have been an expensive and lengthy redesign, we are faced with a next-generation app that is worse than before. If you book your ticket online using your Carte Blanche account number, the bookings never sync with the app (no change there). Even worse, it is now impossible to access booked tickets in the app and save them to the Apple wallet. You end up in the dreaded “death loop” of entering a billing number and being given the option to print from home, over and over again. Ugh.

Hi Frizinho. I'm sorry that you are having some issues with the app. I'm here to help to see if we can get this rectified for you. Can you please confirm whether you were logged into your account when you made the booking? It will only appear in the app if this is the case.

If you manually add the booking via the MORE screen, when you correctly enter the booking reference number and your surname, the booking will be shown on the screen, and then stored on the YOUR BOOKINGS screen until after you travel.

Can you advise what route you were travelling on as some routes do not have mobile tickets on them (and therefore no link to Apple Wallet tickets).

The same, old, IT problem still exists. You can book to London but not to the North of England. This problem has persisted for years. Eurostar have told me that they are aware of it but it has still not been rectified. Strangely, it has never been a problem on the desktop site. Come on IT team; earn your money. 😊

Thanks for the reply but have you ever tried to book say “La Rochelle to Wakefield “. The facility appears to exist, as you describe) and works on the desktop site but, if you try it on the mobile site or app, all you get is “. (ERROR: SEARCH_800).

Hi again Billynomates. It looks like there was a back-end issue when you made that search. I have tried repeatedly to recreate the same search and the train times all display correctly.
