No notification when prescription is ready


I’ve enabled notifications for the app but I don’t receive any notifications after I order a prescription. When I check it after a few days the status is updated within the app. Surely nowadays it should be reasonably easy to integrate the status update with a push notification? It would also be good to have a scheduled notification based on expected time that a repeat prescription wild need to be ordered, since this should normally be a regular time interval. Another vote here for Touch ID asap too. Otherwise, I do find the app has been saving me time with having to make trips to the surgery for repeat prescriptions.

Great app but have a few requests


1. please could you make the prescription request text box more than 200 Characters.

2. Could you add a function for the Dr to put a message when they reject a prescription request. Example today I had to have a 3 monthly review of meds but forgot and had no idea why it was rejected without contact them.

3. Notification of when prescription has been issued. My Dr has a within 48hr policy and to save the countless checks of the app a notification function for this would be great.

4. I realise this my be an internal problem but when it shows the prescription has been issued it can still take a day for the Dr to sign it so maybe a way to show “issued” and “ready for collection”3

5. Message function more than 400 characters.

6. Ability to add local walk in clinic based on location.

Fantastic suggestions! Thanks for taking the time to give us this feebdack we really appreciate it. Here are some updates:
1./ The character limit is imposed by our interface with the practice - we can't change it unfortunately - we have raised this with NHS Digital though based on feedback like yours and will continue to do so
2./ This function already exists - if you didn't see a reason it is likely that you GP didn't type one in.
3./ This is a tough one - we don't pull information back form your GP - only you can do that. So when you aren't using your app we aren't continually checking for a change in status of the prescription. We've come up with some ideas to get round this - leave it with us
4./This sounds very annoying - the prescription isn't 'issued' until is it signed so you should not be getting an issued status until it is ready for collection
5./ Very similar to answer 1 - this isn't in our control but it is something that we are trying to change and feedback like yours helps us with that
6./ This is something I'll have to look into further - again - leave it with us and I'll put it on our backlog as a new customer provided idea.

Good App - my surgery could make better use of it


I think the app is clearly laid-out and has a user-friendly interface. My only gripe is that I can’t do more on it, for example - see blood test results etc. I expect that has more to do with my surgery though. I also found I couldn’t edit the ‘reason’ field when booking an appointment - but this is small fry. It’s great to be able to book appointments and order repeat prescriptions using an app. Very simple process.

Thanks for the feedback, we really appreciate it. As you suspect the reason you can't see your results or add an appointment reason is because of the settings at your practice. You can request that your practice enable these features, feel free to get in contact with our support desk if you need any help with that.
