Works very well
Quite easy to set up, and good that it uses the iPhone X’s facial recognition to log in. In use, it would be a handy feature if you could set it to recognise yourself and ignore you when in the room as I believe some other brands do, and save having to put it into sleep mode. There’s been the odd occasion it’s thrown up an error when trying to turn off this sleep mode, but exiting the app and opening again cures it. I’m impressed with the image quality, and like especially it’s best feature, motion detection. It’s useful too that you can manually take a snapshot or record a video selection, which can be saved to the iPhone.
Not fixing problems
Have used this for a number of years, even after reporting issues to the owners problems still not fixed or acknowledged 😡 when playing back a recording on iPad Air (latest version) video is half size in landscape mode and timescale is halfway up the picture and also wrong time in relation to what you have selected etc...if I use my old iPad version 3 it still works ok
Problem is obviously since iPad Air has had updates but after reporting issues they don’t even get back to you and acknowledge you and say they will look in to it 😡
I’m not sure if there has been any recent changes to the app or perhaps something related to IOS updates but it’s becoming extremely annoying to use. Several times a day I will log into the app only to be greeted by “Disconnected from server” and becoming logged out. This occurs whether I’m on Wifi or 3G/4G. I contacted support who then decided just to send me a copy/paste response asking what the issue was after I sent them a video screen cap recording and described the issue in detail.
