A decent app
As said by the title, this is a decent app. It's a little aggravating I had to download an app separate from Facebook, but on the bright side I can turn on the notifications on messenger, which is less annoying than being notified by everything on Facebook. It's a good app for, as you can probably guess, messaging! My main concern right now seems to be a small error, which for some reason closes messenger unexpectedly at times. This is really annoying, and I've tried redownloading the app a few times, but that's only a temporary fix. It may be an error with my phone, because it's nearly used up all its GB's, but just incase it isn't, I thought it should be bought to your attention. That's my only real issue.
Side bar is illogical
It would be cool if you could customise the order of things on the sidebar. Having birthdays plonked right in the middle of recent conversations and more conversations doesn't make sense. I don't want it there at all. I think recent conversations should be right at the top. Quite often when I've been messaging in silent mode, I've not noticed a message come in from someone else as its underneath the active people section. Keep it simple like most email apps, just list all the conversations in chronological order.
Its alright as it works, most of the time, as long as youre chatting to only one person. Its a nice touch to have the emojis slightly different in the app. However, I have been added to a groupchat and only just been able to view it, as at first no messages from anyone would show up. Now, I can only see the last page of messages sent in this chat, and it wont let me view more when I scroll up.
