Most people reviewing this app are morons
All I can see in the reviews for this app are idiots who seem to have read no further than the title of the app.
These people genuinely seem to believe all you do with the app is select someone to 'poke' and that person will be notified on Facebook that they were 'poked' á la the old poke of the early facebook years.
If people bother to actually read the description they will see it is for private visual messaging where the things being sent are not wanted to be saved or kept for later viewing. It is extremely popular form of secret messaging that has a use for many people.
So why don't you all shut up with the "an app to poke?....Pointless" comments and read some words first.
(Of course Facebook are partly to blame for the duel use of a name that most know to be a specific feature on the service).
Strange concept but good for video messages
Poking, text, and even picture messages seem rather pointless to me given that the unique feature of this messaging app is that each message self-destructs after the recipient reads/sees the message.
However, I have found it quite useful for sending 'video voicemail-like messages' to people. For those friends who don't always text you back, sending them a video of yourself asking a question is yielding better response rates!
Complaints; 1. make the app iPad friendly and 2. remember front camera preference.
What's not to get???
If you want to show someone a pick but don't want them to actually have it permanently you can send a pic for them to view for so many seconds then it dissapears. (I.e. may want to send someone a naughty pic but don't want them to be able to keep it then this app is perfect) there are things in place to stop people just taking screenshots while its visible and if they try it tells you.
