• Bug fixes
Are FB just telling us they're fixing bugs without actually doing it?
I can't remember this app ever working properly but lately it's got even worse: juddering, jerky, slow, unresponsive, not to mention crashing.
Instead of spending billions of dollars on rival messaging apps, it might be an idea to make sure your own app works properly first.
And why is there still multiple sections for content? To see everything we have to open and swipe through 4 or 5 of these sections to see all our content. Just deliver the full timeline in chronological order without editing it!! It's really not complicated is it? But yet FB fails to grasp this simple concept.
Also it's impossible to read replies to comments on the iOS app. We get the notification but can't actually read the message. To do that we have to open Safari and go to the FB mobile web page. Not exactly the best way to do it is it?
$19B would have bought a hell of a lot of the worlds best app developers to finally build a decent FB iOS app rather than buying the competition. Doesn't sound too unreasonable to me.
Tryin to figure out Facebook way of thinking... All this bugs fixes is just a way to hopefully get some fresh, new hopefully better reviews on the AppStore because nothing better or different ever happen. Most if not all of us would like to see most recent on the main page rather than news feed.. Who wants to see crap from 2 days ago just because Facebook thinks it's interesting and relevant. Background refresh never works as advertise or as it should and I know Apple did well on this front cos other app works well so Facebook... What the hell???!?!?!?!?
And why do we need to see Request and more annoyingly Messages app or icon at the bottom of the page rather than my own page(for example)when I can just swipe to the left to see messages or annoying face icon thing appears when you do have messages? All it does is tell you that you can download the app.. Too many rant... Can't be bothered. Not gonna see any changes to any of this anytime soon so what's the point.
Crashes all the time, need to uninstall every day!
I have to uninstall and reinstall at least once a day because pictures / links won't load. Paid my network extra for high speed internet thinking it was because of that but realised it was the app because after reinstall it works again smoothly for an hour or two before slowing down again. Pretty appalling. And don't even get started on Facebook messenger, the most annoying and pointless app ever- why doesn't the notification pop up go away? I know people have complained about it since it became mandatory to use the app, and I figured it would be fixed quickly but apparently not... I don't want push notifications but get a pop up literally every single time I use it, how can such a basic error go on so long?! Or am I not seeing some obvious way to turn it off? And does anyone else hate the weird blue thumbs up which appears where the "send" button should be? Both, awful apps which is a shame as I love Facebook but can't use either the app or fb messenger on my phone due to poor quality.
