Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Facebook doesn't run GPS in the background unless you give us permission by turning on optional features that require this.

Welcome to your new buggy release
If it weren’t for me being an admin of several groups, I would ditch Facebook because of the inconsistency of the app across platforms. This version does not remove the new comment tags as being read even when you read them which is annoying when you are an admin and having to try to remember which you have checked, and also if somebody posts a comment in one of my groups, I click on the notification to read it but cannot find it because the feed it gives me is in some totally unknown to humanity sort order. So I then have to put my iPad down and grab my iPhone as I know I have to tap the about button in the group to get any sort of chance of finding the post. The iPad app does not have this option despite both being iOS based.
In general though, the sort order (or lack of it) makes it pretty much impossible to find anything. You can literarily spot a post on your feed just as you close the app and then reopen the app immediately to read it, but it’s no longer there, and you eventually give up looking for it. Totally ludicrous. Whoever thought some random order of posts would be acceptable needs transferring to car washing duties instead.
I stay away as much as possible now.
Most apps are great, the Facebook one is and has so many things which can be done on it, that's what's so great about Facebook in the first place BUT there are so many jobs only seeming to be half done. For instance the microphone to speak to make the words is appalling and and getting worse each update, a great idea to start with but then left -it seems- for Mark to go onto other projects, what he started just sitting around parked up and going nowhere. Meanwhile other bits and bobs are added, slowing the whole thing down, including some which are very imposing such as taking photographs with camera, then going onto Facebook to find those exact photographs are the first thing you see, I do not want my photographs going on to full display on Facebook, so much been chucked in willy nilly and the rest of what was there already being left, he should change his name to Arthur Jobdone. And these half done jobs are infuriating so that's why it's right down four. The reason it has gone down to 3 is because I find the customer service team racist and their blocking very unfair and one-sided.
Wow! Can it get any worse!?!?
Picture this: mate posts; ‘anyone fancy meeting for drinks tonight round mine?’. Meanwhile; I’m scrolling through countless reels of regurgitated crap from yesterday or this morning. Having the; ‘most recent first’ function hidden away in a menu is counter intuitive and backward. They say: ‘live in the moment’. Well on Facebook you can’t as you have to scroll through 20mins worth of yesterday’s posts from people you barely know cause they’re friends are commenting on it. There should always be ‘most recent posts’ first, and an option to follow posts if you’re actually interested in wanting to see how the post progresses. How can I be up to date when the way Facebook works shuts the most commented on posts to the top and the newer ones no where in sight? It’s backward and separates people from connecting in the here and now. I just find it so tedious and then resent missing posts until plenty of others have commented on it (if it ever bleedin gets that far). Yes I know there’s the option tucked away in the menu but I don’t want to fanny about with that. Sort it out. It doesn’t work.
