You wake up alone and freezing in an icy cell. You try the cell door but it’s locked, it seems that you are stuck with no apparent escape. All that surrounds you is a letter and a bottle of pills, and no sign of how long you have been here or why!
Escape from this room and you will begin a journey through an isolated research facility in the freezing depths of the Antarctic, solving exciting puzzles as you go and unlocking new locations around the Facility. As you explore, you can search for clues that will help you uncover and piece together the mysterious history of Facility 47 and how exactly you came to be there!
Ratings and Reviews
Fantastic 5star game !
When I first downloaded this based on good reviews I thought I'd made a mistake as it looked a little like the big fish games which require little brain and are for the younger audience, but very soon I realised it was different. The puzzles are perfect, as per previous reviewer, they are hard enough to give pause but logical so not impossible. So few games have logical puzzles. I also love that you are left to explore, no stupid sparkly areas, no hos scenes. Just a great game in which you learn the story by reading notes or watching cctv. I too spend more time searching for games than playing them, to the previous reviewer if you haven't played the forever lost series on iOS then your in luck🙂t
Edit: I am now further into this game and wow just WOW, why can't there be more games like this out there???? Sooo cleverly done, thank you so much to the genius developers 😘😘😘😘
Second edit: I’ve just played this game again as one of my favourites and on checking I’d sent a review saw the 1 star post!! Sorry developers not sure how this happened absolutely unintentional as it’s a 5 star plus game, hoping I’ve now rectified this but il keep checking... once again perfect game please make more.
Developer Response ,
Hi Sheff, thanks so much for your kind words. Were you aware that your star rating for the game is currently set to 1 star?
I can’t praise it enough.
I play a LOT of adventure games, and this one is probably the best I’ve ever played.
Great chilly atmosphere reminiscent of The Thing, ice Station Zebra (and The Seeds of Doom if you’re a Dr Who fan) with puzzles which are sometimes very difficult but do make sense. Even if a problem is really hard, it’s always a good sign if you use a hint and instantly regret that you didn’t take a little more time and think of it yourself.
Some involve straightforward but tricky logic, some a little lateral thinking, but they all move the story forward rather than just being there to waste your time. If you needed a glass of water in this game, you wouldn’t have to get bored searching for a bucket and a crank handle and a rope so you could use the well to get it. Everything relates to the events of the plot which gradually unfolds. All that and a choice of endings.
Everything is as it should be to make a really good adventure game with no boring bits, in other words. People aspiring to make adventure games should be given this as a model of how to do it properly.
Very, very well done.
Excellent first game!
Very much in the mould of the Forever Lost series, this is an excellent opener from the developers. Unlike a lot of games out there, the game has a coherent and interesting narrative that opens out as the story unfolds. There are plenty of excellent and challenging puzzles that are actually a part of the story, rather than stuck in there to make the game longer.
The music and graphics make for a very atmospheric ambience and there is a nice ending that allows you to decide how the game ends. It is only at the end that you realise the part you are playing in the game, which is well revealed.
Plenty of 'aha' moments and plenty of eureka moments that keep you moving through the game. I particularly enjoyed the fact that once you have had a eureka moment, you then seem to get stuck for a while until you have another.
All in all, a great start from the developers, well worth the money and highly recommended. 99% of the games out there are total garbage - this firmly sits in that exclusive 1% and, if and when there is another game, I will happily be paying for it.
In anticipation of the next game...
