Works! But not perfect yet.

It outputs 3 files every time (a 16px, 32px and a 48px). I used the 16px as a favicon and the 48px as an for an Apple touch icon. It works nicely but it's not the right resolution for iPhone4 and therefore pixelated. This app really needs an update that gives the user a better selection of sizes (up to 114px) and allow toggling on/off for which sizes output as I had no use for the 32px version.

Oh, and I agree with Josh below, it's strange that it doesn't allow you to save it in a location you want. You get no choice, it saves the files to Documents\My Favicon's\Un-named Folder. Expected to find preferences in the file menu that would allow for customisation.

Simple, easy to use, does the job

A really handy app that makes generating ico files so much easier. Removes all the hassle of online convertors and gives you a preview as soon as you drop the image on the app with no file mess if you decide not to convert. Great design and functionaility - highly reccomended!

Some future improvements might be the ability to define the default destination of the FavIcon folder (so outside of Documents if you so wish) and the ability to save an Apple iOS touch icon PNG (with a settings preference to append the _precomposed bit to the filename if selected).

Nearly there...

This app is good, but I was expecting more.

It creates a separate ico file for each size, not a multi-sized ico. Also it doesn't let you specify a different image for each size, only one that gets resized for each.

It's a nice simple app, but it needs a simple preferences window, you can't even tell it where to save files currently. Hopefully these features come in an update, it's very nearly there!
