What's New in Version 1.94.05
We've added some new stations and fixed some bugs.
Badly set up - needs tweaking before I'll use again
It takes you through the process of finding and picking the tickets you want, then asks for you login details, then it asks for your credit card details. After entering your credit card info, it then tries to log you in. If you have a million passwords like most people in this day and age, you need a few attempts to get in, but each time you make an attempt it takes you back to the login page and you have to re-add all your credit card details. It's so badly set up it made me wonder if it was a scam to get my card details! Ask for the login, then actually log us in, before going through the motions of payment like most other websites and apps!
You can avoid this by logging in before you start, but who always does that straight away before searching for tickets?
It gives me no choice as to whether to get an m-ticket or a pick-up at the station, it chooses for me at random. The ticket with its barcode was never sent to my phone, when I rang GWR they didn't seem to know the process for receiving an m-ticket. I had to print out the email and hope that the guard would accept it.
The ipad app seems slightly better, but with no choice as to type of ticket delivery.
For heaven's sake GWR, get your app guys to try to use it.
Although I use this app for info only, not to purchase, I find it very useful, quick and easy to use. I use the 'previous journey' feature loads and like the UI for scrolling through different train times and ticket types.
