Brrr! This winter season has been unusually cold, but we have just the remedy: a warm, beautiful fire to chase away the chill! A click of a button will play a video of a crackling fire that fills your entire screen. Use it to create some atmosphere for a romantic evening, or relax by yourself with a cup of tea after a long day.
• No obvious looping like other Fireplace apps
• Carefully constructed fire with a coal bed that took hours to develop.
• Dual screen function that allows you to enjoy the app on one screen while you work or play on the other.
What's New in Version 1.2
- Takes up less disk space... uses the same great video that you've come to love.
- Consumes A LOT less CPU.
- Nicer icon.
I love this app!! But then I'm easily pleased..
My boyfriend thinks it's completely pointless, but I love putting it on and just watching it. Yayayay.
But, the quality/ resolution, (whatever) could be a tiny bit better :P
A good app gone bad
This was a very good app, for simulating a fireplace. Unfortunately, since the last upgrade, I now have massive box persuading me to upgrade to the paid version (I can stand this on an iOS app, but surely not on a MacBook?!), and, more than ever, I notice that the video looping triggers a slight pause - making the looping very obvious indeed.
Good warm app
A good app for simluating a fireplace, but as some of the frame very changes (the lower part of the grate the brightest part) I worry that it may burn my screen if left playing for a long time.
