Five A Day is a fruit-'em-up. It is a lovely combination of chill, thrill and healthy eating. Fly through skies full of fluffy clouds as you relax to the ambient soundtrack while shooting down squadrons of enemies and robbing them of their bananas, apples, aubergines and other fruits and vegetables.
Rescue minotaurs as you go to receive useful shockwave bursts of bullets. Successfully bring your fruit to the end of each level to earn your way to your Five A Day.
Healthy eating is rewarded with an extra life!
Features excellent single finger touch or tilt controls for easy, effortless play on all iOS devices.
FiveADay is OpenFeint enabled and maintains scores and achievements on both OpenFeint and GameCenter leaderboards.
Start healthy shooting today and you'll soon be on your way to your Five A Day! Those bananas are far too good for aliens!
A good shooter
I love all of Jeff's games (apart from Deflex) but they are starting to feel "old", not in a retro sense but in general. I really like this game and it is very good, but it's missing the one-more-go thing. Games like Space Giraffe were very hard to put down for me, but this and past games like Caverns Of Minos are only good for a quick blast.
Don't get me wrong, I love all his games and will buy them all, but they are getting a bit samey.
We need a new game which makes use of the IOS graphics with genuinely inventive ideas.
When I first downloaded Space Giraffe I thought it was a tempest clone at first until it proved me wrong.
I would like trippy full-on games that make me have just one more go, with risk/reward mechanics. 5 a day seems too easy and I can't see myself playing it as much as I did Minotaur Rescue.
This is a good game but the magic seems to have vanished. Please return to quality over quantity.
This isn't a bad review but it just seems to be lacking the soul of earlier Llamasoft games.
The Skies are full of .... Fruit :-)
You have to love this from Jeff, it's so relaxed and yet blasty! Only a Llamasoft title can do both at the same time. The soundtrack sets the feel beautifully, very chilled and fits the whole game to perfection.
It's a game for blasters who just need to chill out after a hectic session on Minotron ... and priced less than a pint of beer! You can't loose :-)
Almost didn't buy this based on the cheesy app icon, but being a fan of Time Pilot I caved in and I'm glad I did. Its very easy to get into, controls work well, it's slick and fairly addictive - just not in the same way as the superb Gridrunner. Think I'd have preferred it to be crammed with frantic retro sound effects, but that's just personal preference.
Is the Game Centre leaderboard broken, or is it just me?
