Customer Reviews

Great app but...

I have to agree with some other reviews in that I never imagined I would give this app less than 5 stars but the little flaws out-weigh the list of great features on this app.

The first issue is its ability to update. It is far slower updating than the desktop/PC version, in that it doesn't list give an accurate account of views/faves/comments. Some photos I have posted have been viewed over 100 times within a few hours, yet the iPad app shows less than half the amount.

The other flaw (again, as mentioned by other reviewers) is its inability to dissociate itself with the desktop version when searching in the iPads Internet browser. There are more functions on the full site than on the app so please let me access those features through my browser.

On the other hand, I love that this site/app is for serious photographers, wether they be professionals or amateurs. I also like that it cuts out the social media crap of it and sticks to the appreciation of other people's work.

Unable to view my own photos

I used to love flickr but recently I've had nothing but one issue after another. If its not being able to upload photos then its not being able to see them on my iphone once they are uploaded.
I uploaded quite a few on my laptop and could view them although even that took many many attempts. Had to check the forums to see if there were issues.
But now the issue is I can't view them on my flickr app after deleting the app and re-downloading , signing out and back in still nothing. Really annoying and steadily loosing patience while flickr try to find a new owner for the website! Either way your customers surely come first! 😡

A few weeks later and I still can't view them on my iphone flickr app! Still annoying! 🙄

Useful for our and about, but I still prefer using the desktop version.

It occurs to me that if I have the option, I will automatically reach for my laptop over my phone when it comes to Flickr. Maybe that is just habit, but I find it easier to navigate on my laptop.

The app has its uses - it means if I want a photo on my phone I do not have to email it and worry about the file being compressed, and if I am out and about then I will use my phone, or if my WiFi is down, a frequent occurrence, I can use mobile data, but as soon as the WiFi is back, or I get home, I return to my laptop.
