Very addictive but money making scam

Noahsrealdad

Really like the game and I think it could evolve into an even better game if developed well; I hope they take note of all the suggestions.
Obviously the main annoyance is like you get in all these games it's only possible to do really well with an "investment" cost you £2.99. As an example I carefully managed my finances getting to division 2 with a profit of 300k I had money rolling in but even with a very good squad and manager all playing direct football I had an inexplicably bad season, relegated besides my squad rating being as high as I needed to challenge. Replayed the whole game to have exactly the same happen not once not twice but three times now. It seems to be programmed so you NEED to pay for investment. I can understand the developers doing this to make money though why create something for free?

Developer Response

It's absolutely not true that it's only possible to do well by spending money on in-app investments. We've had hundreds of thousands of users who have succeeded without spending a single penny on IAPs. Running a profitable club is the whole point of the game - if you're having to rely on the in-app investments then you're making some mistakes as chairman. Great Game

Excellent game. You don’t need to make any in-app purchases to be successful. You just need to manage your wage bill. The jump up from League 2 to the Championship can be tricky. I took my team from non-league to Prem champs before taking over a Championship club and winning three Champs Leagues.

It would be good if you could see more than just an overall stat for players: once you get all 99 rated players, it’s tricky to know who to keep. I judged strikers on goals but as for defenders and midfielders- I just had to go on the best names! It would be good if stadiums felt a bit more personalised too and if you could progress onto international management somehow.

Transfers and others

I’ll start with the transfer and say that the fact you have to guess a players worth I fell to be annoying and dumb, not only do I have to guess this random players worth I also have to have the bid accepted as theirs no negotiation just one bid if it’s rejected that’s it... I also think you should be able to tell the manager what part of the team to sign wether it be midfield, defence goalie. I think seeing other people squads would be a good factor too seeing what the competition is working with. I haven’t seen any major changes in the game for ages and I hope some of these suggestions will be added or at least acknowledged by the developers.

Developer Response

Hi Arron, thanks for the feedback. When it comes to buying a player, you don't have to guess a player's value - it's the value which is pre-selected on the first bid screen (unless the player is available on a free transfer). After that, it's up to you whether you want to bid higher or lower than the chosen value. But just like real life, players' values will fluctuate depending on their performances. So the real skill is to spot a bargain - a young player who can develop, or maybe a veteran player who can add experience to the team. Also, a lot of the time you'll get a second chance to negotiate if your first bid is rejected. Sometimes you don't - but that happens in real life too.
