Ratings and Reviews
First save your money don’t even wait till it’s half price either invest in a proper management game or buy an older version for a console bcos your actions in this game mean nothing no matter what you do you get the same result over and over and over again in to the 20s 30 times playing the same game same score time scores and result even if you think you’ve turned it around and leading 3-0 nope it’ll still finish 3-3, ok so why ply the same game over and over...well when the team your playing best striker has shooting at 11 but puts 3 past your world class team it makes you think it runs the same result regardless of what team you have tactics formation training you’ve done and coaches making the management side pointless if it gives you the same outcome.., you can tell pretty soon it’s a copy paste from last season but worse especially transfers it makes all footballers greedy only interested in wages and fees no matter how poor they may be so expect a player to want 70k and sign for 40mil even tho his true value is 2mil come on is this real football? No effort in this game at all you’ll get more satisfaction from older thought out management sims bcos at least there you can make a difference at a club bcos there’s no incentive to not be a top club in this game really poor last time I buy this franchise
Fantastic game - just having one issue
Well, I haven’t played a FM game for a few years, just haven’t had the time but coming back into this addition over the last week or so has been a blast. Loving my save and really enjoying it, not sure if it is going so well for everyone or I’m just a good manager but who knows...
Love the star rating system now I have researched it and found out how it works, no clear instructions on this in game? But none the less now I know it will only enhance my ability to sign some awesome players.
Haven’t branched out how to sign OOC players but I’m sure I will and love the negotiation system!
Would love a clearer way of seeing how your players stats increase and decrease but that’s just a minor moan and not a game breaker.
My only issue is that in over a season of my save I am yet to revive a single transfer offer for any of my players? Plenty of loan offers, but no actual to buy offers? Is this an issue across the game for everyone or doesn’t nobody just want my rejects?
I’m giving FM 19 4* based on first impressions. I have completed one season and started a few other just checking different things out (transfers, formations, training just as an example) and I feel there is significant improvements from previous instalments.
- Negotiations are brilliant, I like how it’s more personal and it feels as though you’re actually signing the player instead of everything happening around you.
- Players sell easier when offered out to clubs where as previous versions I found this wasn’t the case unless it was a better player being offered.
- The game is nice and easy to navigate and the new colour scheme is great and easy on the eye.
- I’ve found the training to be really useful and more in-depth this year which adds new dynamics to the game and your team/players.
Despite the positives there is always room for improvement...
- Good teams seem to struggle to get results against lesser sides and goals seem to fly in left, right and centre.
- Having the option to interact with your captain or your team after or before a game would be a fantastic addition, is this possible?
- Maybe some realistic variation to the transfer market and the value at which players are sold would also be a good addition.
Overall I’m really enjoying it however I am a huge fan of the FM games and have been for many years so I may be a little bias.
Hope this review helps anybody looking to purchase, I’d say it’s well worth the £9!
