SMARTPHONE COMPATIBILITY
Compatibility may vary between phones and operating systems. Learn more about compatible phones at http://FreeStyleLibre.com.

USING YOUR APP AND FREESTYLE LIBRE READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR
If you like, you can use the FreeStyle LibreLink app and the FreeStyle Libre Reader with the same Sensor. Start the Sensor with the Reader first, then scan with your phone. Remember that FreeStyle LibreLink and Readers do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your Sensor every 8 hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data.

APP INFORMATION
FreeStyle LibreLink is intended for measuring glucose levels in people with diabetes when used with a FreeStyle Libre Sensor. For more information on how to use FreeStyle LibreLink, refer to the User’s Manual, which can be accessed through the app. If you require a printed User’s Manual, contact Abbott Diabetes Care Customer Support.

Learn more about FreeStyle LibreLink at http://FreeStyleLibre.com.

[1] If you are using the FreeStyle LibreLink app, you must also have access to a blood glucose monitoring system, as the App does not provide one. A finger prick test using a blood glucose meter is required during times of rapidly changing glucose levels, when interstitial fluid glucose levels may not accurately reflect blood glucose levels, or if hypoglycaemia or impending hypoglycaemia is reported by the Sensor, or when symptoms do not match the Sensor readings.

[2] Use of the FreeStyle LibreLink and LibreLinkUp apps requires registration with the LibreView system, which is provided by Abbott and Newyu, Inc.

The app I've been waiting for. Almost perfect

I've been waiting for this app since before apple even allowed NFC access to developers! A brilliant app and much better than carrying around another device in your pocket which can only do one thing. I do think it's missing a few little bits that should demonstrate the benefit to this over the reader device. Namely healthkit integration and a quick access button (maybe in the widget screen?). Imagine this feeding into healthkit along with your food entries via other apps and seeing all that info together... Really powerful stuff. I appreciate the team getting this app out when they could but I hope they follow with an update with these extras as I know from experience adding to healthkit is fairly quick and easy

Update: just had to restore my phone from a back up and realised that I have lost all my Libre data! Devastating! This app needs to use iCloud or something 😫

Good app, but a couple of suggestions!

Having used the Libre system for over two years, I love it. The app shows far more data and is presented well with options to save typed custom notes - brilliant.

The app should in theory allow the user to carry one less item of diabetes paraphernalia and it does for the most part. However, I noticed the remaining insulin on board feature is missing - this is a feature I use all the time and was surprised it is not included in the app. Additionally, getting a reading can be quiet cumbersome - requiring the user to unlock phone, open app, select scan sensor, then scan. This could be improved by allowing the option to request scanning as soon as the app is opened or perhaps a “tap” to scan feature.

I love the system, but with a few minor tweaks this app will be amazing.

Glad this has finally arrived

Currently experiencing a lot of errors when scanning and have to do multiple scans to get a reading. Tried on two different sensors

EDIT: is it possible this will be incorporated with the Apple health app?

So pleased this has arrived. Been wanting this since getting my libre over a year ago. It’s more convenient not to have to carry a the reader.
It seems to function software wise, in the same way as the reader which was simple anyway.
One thing that would be useful is if we could use the reader still and the phone app with the same sensor. Obviously there’s hardware limitations with how the data would stay sync up but it’s something that could come in handy as I find using the reader at night much quicker than having to pick up my phone that’s got a bright screen and needs to be unlocked.
Also an option under food to add a ‘drink’ with carbs as currently it’s just lunch dinner snack etc.
One final option would be to have a quicker scan feature in control centre or if you could activate it in a similar way to Apple Pay (double tap home button) and scan rather than having to unlock, load the app and then press the scan feature.
