Galactic Empires Description
Players start out with a single undeveloped world and attempt to build a huge empire in the universe. Along the way to their empire, players can form alliances with other players, research technologies to improve space ships, and perform various missions. Alliances are similar to guilds and serve many functions such offering members protection, enabling free trade among members, and consolidating forces for attacks. Although the game is text-based, Galactic Empires still looks good and has more action than most other games in the genre.
1. Real-time strategy.
2. Very action oriented.
3. Various types of missions that can be formed by your spaceship such as espionage, attacking other ships, transporting resources, and harvesting.

Small bug fixes
I'm new to this game and already hooked. Gripping, genuinely tactical in a mass scale, and looks good!
My only gripe though, may well be a deal breaker. It seems that, once you get to a certain level, your fleets and resources will never be safe from other players, so everyone does this thing called 'Fleet Save', which means you load up all of your resources on ships when not playing, and send them off on long voyages very, very slowly. As no one can touch you whilst in transit, you wont log on after a nights sleep with no fleet and no money.
Makes sense, right? Well...yeah, if you want to check the game constantly that no one has figured out where you are going and set an ambush. It also takes away a key component. EMPIRE building. The clue is in the name! I really loved the idea of a slow and steady expansion, building up defences, raiding strategically, etc. Instead, most people have only a few planets scattered about, with massive fleets hopping between them, trying not to get caught whilst tripping up someone else trying to do the same.
Verdict? Amazing game, truly awe inspiring, which has had all the fun sucked out of it by the die-hard computer geeks who devote entire days and weeks of time ensuring that they have the top scores, at the expense of the spirit of the game. A genuine shame.
Good but buggy
I've played for about 18months.. Never taken a vacation but played daily...
This was an amazing game until the players put so many bugs in the system to annoy the GO...
Now nothing seems to work.
Failed fleetsaves cost you months in time and money... Even when it says fleet "sent" you log back on time after time finding its there .... And crashed.
Don't get me wrong I love this game, spend money on the game, but I've had so many bugs like now-fleets due back 34 minutes ago......oh wait it came back early and got had...
SORT THE FS/TIME BUG.
(This review was a year ago and never sent-I send now as I want to review another bug)
So the above wont send-
Today's problem-yet again after saving and chatting to friends I've found my fleet failed to return-on closer inspection it never moved-on even closer inspection it cost Dut to move but didn't move.. I hate being called a liar especially when you go out of the way to help new players, to support both then and the game I love... For the our sakes-or the games sake and survival HELP!! Don't fob off.
Oh how I wish this game was better run. there are so many bugs, such as the black screen bug, which still occurs even now, and these bugs are never sorted, instead they are just left by an incompetent and corrupt admin team that has been to dictate the game in whatever way they choose by the company producing this app, always resulting in poor decisions which are praised by the few that benefit from their actions. in This game has so much potential, and yet every day I see the player base shrink and wither to a husk of what it used to be when I began playing for the first time. All of it squandered because no one cares about the players, the customers, instead choosing to line their pockets and allow the game to be destroyed by the admin team. The only reason that I continue to play this game is due to my hoping that one day it may finally be well run and looked after. If you are interested in this app after reading its description, I recommend you do not download it, as you will only be disappointed.
