Gatwick Airport Official 4+

The app contains loads of helpful things like the terminal your airline goes from, opportunities to prebook food and loads of money saving offers however I really do think a trick or two has been missed to make this the best airport app around -

In an environmentally conscious age I’d have thought that Gatwick would have jumped at the opportunity to ‘go green’ with this app, I’d love to see the ability to log onto your my Gatwick account within the app to access bookings you have made for parking, premium security and lounges which could be used instead of printed confirmations. At the moment the book parking simply takes you to the relevant part of the website and is not completed in app like other parking booking companies (like holiday extras).

It’s a great start but it’s got a long way to go to become an app I’d regularly use when travelling.

Thank you for your helpful feedback. I’m glad you have found the features within the app useful. Some of the other features you mention are in the plan for a future release so please do revisit the app and accept any upgrades.

Why only today or tomorrow?
I wanted to populate the app with all my upcoming flights, but I can only do it 24 hours in advance. Seems I’d get better info from one of the flight information apps.

Also, off point, but why only 90 minutes free Wi-Fi? Most airport don’t impose any such restrictions. Seeing as it’s generally recommended that you arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight 120 minutes or more free access would make more sense.

Looks like the Developer of this app has lost interest. How sad. It could be that the developer may have given up because they're not making enough money and that's what it's all about really. There's been no response since January from them. Yet when this app first come out most got a developers response. I think our response should be to give up on this app.

Updated: Now there has been some response to the criticism of this apps login problems. We now know we have to create a new account. Well that's good to know. See we wouldn't have known that without your comments. You can now have two stars ⭐️ ⭐️ If you can bring out an iPad version I may even go to 3 or 4. What do you think to that?

The most recent update to the app added the ability to add your flight up to nine days out from your flight date, which was developed in response to several reviews requesting this feature. We do hope you continue using the Official Gatwick App as it is constantly being improved and future updates will introduce exciting new features.
