Good Food Quick Recipes for iPad was awarded the FWA Mobile of the Day for March 1st. It has also been featured by Apple in the Essential Apps for Foodies collection and has previously made it to the number 2 spot for iPad apps in the UK Lifestyle section.
It’s part of a family of Good Food apps. Other iPad apps include Healthy Recipes and the BBC Good Food magazine iPad app.
On the iPhone we have Healthy, Quick, Good Food for Friends, One-Pot, Festive and Cake Recipes.*
Need dinner on the table in double-quick time? BBC Good Food's quick recipes iPad app has over 195 recipes - and they're all ready in 30 minutes or less.
As with our other iPhone and iPad apps, you can search for recipes by course, vegetarian or ingredient. New for this app is 'QuickFind' - for those nights when you're really lacking inspiration – just tap three options to see your recipe results.
You can add ingredients to a shopping list, sorted by 'aisle', to speed up your shopping even more. (You can even add in your own shopping items too, like tin foil and washing up liquid!)
Quick recipes doesn't mean boring - the app has crowd-pleasing dishes like Quick lamb biryani, lighter dishes like Parmesan spring chicken and easy puds, like White chocolate & berry pudding.
And, you can brush up on some speedy cooking techniques too, with our videos, including how to prepare avocado and scallops.
Depending on where you are in the world, or just your preference, you can choose to view recipes by metric or Imperial measurements. Each recipe includes nutritional information per serving for kcals, protein, carbs, fat, saturated fat, fibre, sugar and salt. You can save recipes to Favourites and send to a friend.

What's New in Version 1.1
Key features in this update include:
- 20 new recipes
- new tips for you to keep on top of your cooking
- push notifications – Good Food has a free app in the pipeline and we want to tell you about it when it arrives!
Good recipes, bad app
Easy and quick recipes that suit even a beginner chef as myself.
App however is very frustrating. As said by others, saved Favourites will periodically be forgotten and Ingredient lists in the recipes will also just randomly vanish, requiring a reinstall to fix. Then it happens again after a few days. I have emailed the developer twice about this and only have received generic acknowledgements of my email in response. Not very pleased.
Needs retina display update
A solid app with loads and loads of good recipes but it's in desperate need of a graphics update - some graphics look sickeningly pixelated on retina display.
