Customer Reviews

Excellent App

Works well and as expected. Streaming is smooth and you can download video for offline viewing. The chromecast support is also working well. The only drawback is that you cannot buy/rent movie directly from the app; probably because of apple rules.

Why?

Google doesn't half make things difficult.

Is it really true that I need to purchase a movie via a web page and then use this Google Play app to watch it?

The GP app allows you to make wishlist selections under your account but not purchases.

What am I missing here? The app support implies I need to use the Google Store app (which when searched for on the App Store here returns the Google Play app, which of course I already have and isn't the same thing) to purchase a movie and then I watch it on the Google Play app.

Clearly I must be doing something wrong, but if it's proving difficult for a professional web designer then clearly the Google Play app just isn't intuitive enough.

Good for viewing/casting but why not buying movies through the app

Works fine for viewing and casting movies but it is frustrating to have to switch to the website to buy movies before watching them. Why not let users buy through the app?
