This is a great app!
I've been searching across the internet for a system to manage my schoolwork, and tried out all sorts of apps. All of them needed a paid subscription, frequently not worth it! This free app is a lifesaver, with a simple add-what you need interface where you can add descriptions and dates if you need to. Then, you can order the tasks, or in settings switch to do them by date. The quite literally only things I could improve with this app are a priority button, and especially the ability to connect with Google Classroom as part of the To Do class.
Too little too late?
It’s nice the google have implemented time based reminders and the ability to import for google assistant but it’s a bit of a case of too little too late. These should have been included on day one of the app launch, not nearly a year later. How bloody lazy can you be google?
Silly question, they have poorly maintained several of their own apps over the last couple of years which is why I’m reviewing this here and not on a pixel phone (which I had one of last last year).
So it’s a bit basic but overall it’s ok for a free app. Similar experience to apples own reminders.
However, there are much better paid reminder apps out there such as Things. You have to buy the app but there are no subscription costs so it pays for itself in that respect.
Works well but more options needed
It works, and syncs quickly across devices. But options to customise settings are very limited.
1. Would love to be able to set the ‘order by date’ setting as default rather than having to set it individually for each list
2. It would be helpful if you could set new tasks to be allocated to today’s date by default. It’s a pain to have to select a date for each task you add. It would also be nice to be able to drag and drop a task from today to a different date, rather than having to edit the task and select a new date.
3. I’d like to be able to see my completed tasks ‘crossed out’ or ‘ticked’ on the active list rather than it automatically disappearing onto the completed list...I like to be able to see what I’ve completed as well as what I have left to complete.
4. The ‘completed tasks’ list would be better if it could also be separated by date in the same way as the active list, then it would be easy to see what has been completed on a specific day
