Push it to the Limit
A fantastic port of GTAIII, this plays really well on my iPhone 6+ and the iCloud saving means I can switch between my phone at work and my iPad at home.
It plays really well using my SteelSeries Stratus XL too.
My only complaint would be that I wish the draw distance was a bit further, it was quite short to allow devices like the iPhone 4 to run the game, but for more powerful hardware like the 6+ and the Air I think they could easily handle a longer draw distance.
This is an authentic conversion to handheld. In fact graphics are actually improved over the PS2 version. The sounds are all there but the dialogue is echoey in the cutscenes, and the bitrate for audio samples in general seems low. The controls are reasonable but I can't seem to get past the Bomb Da Base act ii mission. The aiming sensitivity is too low and it takes too much time moving between targets with the sniper and 8 ball is an idiot who runs straight into crossfire but other than that this is an epic game that needs no introduction.

Still a joy to play
Despite being over a decade old, GTA 3 has stood the test of time. The game's fun factor hasn't diminished in the slightest and its gameplay, visuals and sound are still a treat. The only minor qualm (and this is very minor) is that, for me, the driving controls on the touchscreen are somewhat difficult to master. Nonetheless, this it is not game breaking and certainly did not detract from my enjoyment of the game. A great purchase.
