Description

In an Electron Microscope objects can be viewed at very large magnifications, much beyond that of an Optical or Light Microscope. You can comfortably see objects that are 40000 times smaller than the width of a hair. You can see atoms! This app shows images of Graphene obtained with a Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope, and it mimics the zooming in and zooming out actions of this instrument.

What's New

Version 2.5

• Improved support for iOS 7 & 8
• Bug fixes to microscope reset
• Animation improvements
• Cleaner app icon and launch screen

The virtual microscope is awesome because it is very educational while being extremely fun! There are many different choices to press inside of the app and it is amazing to see atoms and what they look like.
I highly recommend it to all ages!!!!!!

Not for the layman

I was hoping for the microscopic version of Star Chart, with the ability to select and navigate around a fly's wing, or a drop of water. Sorry but I found the app very boring, it just wasn't for me. That's not to say that somebody studying chemistry wouldn't find this fun or educational. Also the sound is always on, no matter how low I manually turn it down.
