Free hot drinks! Birthday treats! Prize draws! These are just a few starters to the main course of the delicious delights that come with the Greggs Rewards app. Plus we’ve added some handy extras like a Shop Finder and (obviously) our full menu for you to browse -literally- anywhere.
How does it work?
Easy, just download the FREE APP to get in on the Rewards action. Then scan your phone every time you shop at Greggs, and as a thank you we’ll send you tasty treats and little surprises. The app stores your hot drink stamps too, so every eighth you buy will be on us. Isn’t that nice?
Pay however you like - cash, card, through the app. Top up your account to make sure you’ll always have money to spend in Greggs. Go on, you know you want to.
You want details? Here’s a breakdown of the app features:
• Scan your phone in Greggs to earn Rewards
• FREE hot drinks
• Birthday treat
• Change your account details
• Browse the full Greggs menu… or just skip straight to the sausage rolls
• See all the nutritional info
• Find your nearest Greggs shop (very important!)
• Get directions
• Pop in
You think that’s it? No way, that’s just the beginning. Come on, sign up today, get some rewards, and start making your money go further.
Extra, extra! Fresh out of the oven, a new update is here. We’ve got 3 new items on the menu:
1. Registration just got easier, now you don’t even need to fill your whole address in.
2. Clearer messaging if your auto-top up fails in the app.
3. We refactored the entire app - basically tweaked everything top to bottom so it works just that bit better.
Ratings and Reviews
What the hell is going on?
Firstly, apparently now they require two factor authentication? Why? It’s a loyalty card for a sandwich shop not an account that anything can be stolen from.
So presumably just an excuse to get a mobile number for more random spam.
Secondly, the app update forces a log out and log back in. I have a 15 character secure password and they then go and disable the facility to paste from my iPhone into the password field. Yes there’s ways around this if I can be bothered but why should I? Use the Apple keyboard and the little password key pops up on the left and I can use this but no...that’s not been used either.
I mean, what do they need all this supposed security extra security for? I only scan the app for a loyalty point when I get a coffee and a pasty so it’s all a bit too excessive.
Anyway, will email them to ask for my details to be removed from the database and remove the app.
So if you don’t want to give your email, phone number, date of birth, name etc over just to get a loyalty stamp then steer well clear of this app as it’s getting way to demanding and is just a potential data grab now.
Couldn’t even register
I have a new phone and in putting in my details, I put one digit wrong on my mobile number. Stupid mistake - yes. But the app would not let me change the number. Surely you should be allowed to edit the number? I clicked on new phone number but it took me back to the log in page. Then it said I had used up my mobile verification attempts and contact customer service. I don’t even know why they need my mobile details along with email verification. The amount of info and the verification process seems way over the top. Are Greggs secretly running a bank as well? I tried to contact customer services through the app but wasn’t allowed to because it wasn’t verified. I have deleted this.
Rubbish Rewards Scheme
Most of the time that I ‘scan’ my app in the shops after making a purchase it never registers, even though it beeps in store, the app never seems to show my purchase in the history section and also I never seem to earn the ‘stamp’.
Contacted Greggs on Twitter about it but it seems it’s me doing something wrong rather than it being their end.
Can’t say I’ve had troubles with any other reward cards I have, and I think I’m clever enough to scan this.
Only good thing about being signed up with this is occasionally getting freebie offers, other than that, it’s a waste of time.
Get all of your passes, tickets, cards, and more in one place.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
