the page with the new Augmented Reality app!
Readers of this year's Guinness World Records 2013 edition
can access a new dimension of record-breaking with this
FREE "augmented reality" (AR) app. If you've got the book,
download this AR viewer now to see record holders come to life
as stunning 3D animations.
What you'll see:
• Encounter the great white shark – the world's largest
predatory fish – without risking life and limb!
• Say hello to the new world's shortest man – and the shortest
man EVER measured – in actual size
• Meet the parrot who can perform the most slam dunks in a
minute (yes, really!)
• Go for a spin in the world's smallest helicopter
• Get up close and personal with the Goliath bird-eating
spider – a creepy-crawly the size of a dinner plate
• Have fun with the world's smallest dog – a pooch that can fit
in the palm of your hand
Move your device around the animation to see an entire 360-
degree view. And look out for interactive animations that
respond to your touch – just tap the screen and see Zac the
parrot slam dunk a ball; guide the GEN H-4 helicopter across
the sky with your fingertips; lead Heaven Sent Brandy on her
walkies; and irritate the 11-in-wide bird-eating spider until it hisses at you.
What's more, you can even grab a snapshot of yourself
alongside the record holders – almost as if they're sitting right
"This is a unique opportunity to witness the most amazing
record holders right before your very eyes," says Guinness
World Records Editor-in-Chief Craig Glenday. "I had to travel to
Kathmandu to meet Mr Dangi, the world's shortest man – now,
anyone can have their photo next to him without leaving their
How it works:

the pages of the Guinness World Records 2013 book. When you
see the logo, launch the app, point your device's camera at the
book spread and watch as the record-holder comes to life.
This FREE app is available to anyone with a compatible iPhone/
iTouch/iPad with a camera.

I think this game is amazing ok I've read all of ur reviews and agree at first it crashes a lot, but because I'm so exellent and talented I obviously have found the perfect way to stop it from crashing
1.Get the app
2.If it crashes just keep clicking on the app at your home screen (trust me I'm so talented it will eventually work).
3.If you have clicked on it more than 6 times and it still isn't working
Delete and get the app again.
4.When u get the app again keep clicking on it (again).
5. If it still doesn't work after you've clicked on it more than 8 times and it isn't working. your ipad has a virus or a bug and needs 2 b fixed ammediatly.
Hope I've been as helpful and talented and kind as I always am and just 2 let u know it took me 1 hour 2 write this so I'm also cool
Not worth downloading
This evening, I was reading my GWR 2013 book when I saw the icon. I downloaded the app expecting great things however it took a long time, initially, to download. Now - that's probably because I don't have much storage space but when I loaded it up the first few times it began crashing. I tried and tried and it still crashed. Eventually, I finally got to the photo stage and it continuously crashed. I wish this could be sorted because I really want to see my book in 3D although I doubt that'll be happening soon :/
Honestly, it's not worth wasting the storage space on your device if the app doesn't even work!!
Just remember to hold your iphone, ipad or smart device very still, aim straight down at the 3d badge feature. Move your phone further from the page until the image appears on the screen.
Don't listen to people, who say it doesn't work. It does.
